Halloween

This year the kids were super bummed that Halloween was on a Sunday..but they quickly got over it when they had a great time at the ward trunk or treat on Sat. Actually is was a tri ward thing so they saw all their friends and cousins and had a great time. It was definitely a different kind of year. Not sure if it was cause it was on a Sunday or the new baby but I just wasn't on top of stuff....and didn't think much of it. When we got to the trunk or treat Matt says we forgot something. I say nope I remembered the candy aren't you proud of me. Yep...but we forgot the kids bags to put candy in. Lucky for me I have lots of "Stuff" in my car and I had 1 present bag, 1 grocery bag, and 1 bag that you put produce in at the grocery store. Ta da. Anyway. Owen was an army guy, CJ was a pink poodle, and Summer a kitty. All costumes courtesy of Dan and Gillian cleaning out there old costumes and passing them on to us - and it couldn't have come at a better year. The best part of Halloween was the next morning when Matt and I slept in till 8:30....what how did that happen? I woke up to feed Finn to hear laughter and a movie playing and words like "I got 6 lollies" and "I love these things" and I'm sticky. Owen had so kindly put a movie on and they found there bags of candy we obviously didn't put up high enough. And what kid in there right mind would go wake up mom or dad who would just take the candy away to eat a real breakfast. Mine sure didn't - and I have to say i enjoyed it! Needless to say church was a little crazy:)
