Starting to Blog take 2

Oh right...I have a blog..took me a while to get here cause I forgot my blog address (he he he he) Now that my parents are in ID I figure I better keep up on this a bit better so they can see how the kids are doing (and my sisters(that includes you Tara) are totally awesome at keeping me updated so I better get on it).

For Christmas we had a wonderful snowey fun filled vacation in ID and it was full of great memories and tons of photos. It was one of my most favorite Christmas Vacations. On the drive home when we stayed with Grandpa and Grandma D. The kids had a great time and I think the Grandparents loved it even more. We for sure can't wait for another visit! But Christmas was so long ago that I decided to forgo all the pictures and stories and move right a long with the here and now.

Summer is now officially 1 yrs old and she acts like it. She is toddeling all over the house getting into everything and is cute as can be. All though she doesn't like to share me with the other kids. If they climb in my lap Summer will be there in a flash screaming, pulling and pushing them out. Owen and CJ say they need to teach her how to share A LOT BETTER. And yes, she is still nursing like a new born and sleeping like one too. One of my new Year's goals is to get her weaned and sleeping through the night by May. Good luck to the whole famiily it's going to be rough.

Owen is doing great in school (jr. K) and even got an award for his academic excellence. He knew all the letters and words to go with them and raised his hand to answer the questions from the teacher(that's the real great part). So here he is shaking hands with the principal and getting his award. He was so excited. He ran to me shouting MOM MOM I got a paper to go mini golfing and you don't even have to pay money cause I'm smart and I get to go eat somewhere too and it doesn't even have to be on sale! Cute boy.

Callie-Jane is our dress up queen. She gets dressed early in the morning in "normal clothes" but I'm not sure why because within 5-10 minutes she is already pulling those clothes off for some "dress up" clothes. Dress up clothes are what we normally find her in. It ranges from fireman to fairy to princess, to cheeterleader (cheerleader), to benastics (gymnastics) and more. Needless to say her drawers are always open with clothes all over the floor and a smile on her face with a pretend place to go. She's so good at playing pretend she sometimes forgets that she really didn't go to the jungle and climb in a snake pit and find a nice pink snake that is soo nice and loves to be with her. Owen is real good at jumping in and saying "but CJ, that's just a story right...it's not real." ANd she says..."oh, right Owen that is just a story".

As for me...of course there are no pictures of me because I am the picture-taker. But I am doing well. We are really hoping that we are buying a house soon...we have a few offers in but with all the short sales and forclosures it's a LONG slow process and nothing has happened yet. We are praying for something to come up and feel like it's gonna happen soon (or maybe that is wishful thinking).

Totally of the topic I went to a chefBRAD presentation last night at an enrichment and learned all about whole grains and the lack of them in our diet. I've decided to really revamp my cooking...or as he says

Your kids are getting so big! Ryan is in the same boat as Summer, still not sleeping through the night! I totally understand the whole house thing...we have a couple offers out and are playing the waiting game. It is really frustrating! Good luck getting into one soon! Mind if I add your blog to mine?
