We had a great Summer Vacation. I was not on bedrest!!!!!(ever) and we went on a water ski trip in Colorado (which was great!!) and we went to Sea World(and loved and only was possible because Dakota came with us) and went to the beach LOTS! Matt has sold and bought some surf boards, the kids started school (Owen 1st and CJ Kindergarten), and CJ had her 5th B-day party and underwater sea animal party (inspired by Sea World). And on Saturday the 25th we went to my Uncle Chris's big 60th Birthday Party. We first went to Owen's soccer goal (where he scored 3 goals in the blistering sun) then we headed to the beach for the birthday fun. On the way we got rear ended and it got some contractions started. They stopped after a bit so we continued on to the beach. We had a great time and after a few hours it was time to pack up and head to the Luau part of the party. We got to the park famished and ate a a TON of food (L & L Hawaiian). Then we had cupcakes and cake (well I had both but I made the kids choose 1 treat). By the time we finally got home I was SUPER tired. We plopped the kids into bed and crashed into our bed. I was way too tired to shower, after being in bed for about 15 minutes out of no where my water popped. The baby kicked it too hard and it popped. So up we got and dashed off to the hospital.(my labor usually goes quick). We got there by 11:00 PM and I still wasn't having contractions. So we walked the halls, slept in the hospital bed and hung out. Till 5 in the morning and contractions began. By 7:00AM I was dialated to a 6 and ready for the epidural. That slowed things down a bit and our little boy came at 8:30AM. It was wonderful and fantastic and I still can't believe I have my little boy! Dakota came to stay with the kids and was amazing! She even brought them down to see the baby, made sure they did homework, got them to school and kept the house cleaner than I do. After delivery we spent the next few days lounging in our private room (Matt stayed the whole time), thinking of what to name this little guy. Matt talked me into his favorite name (just like with the other kids) and it fits him just right!
Finn Stuart Greding 6.2 lbs 18inches born Sept. 26 2010. He is the best baby ever and sleeps a ton (although he still has his days and nights mixed up). We just love him so and couldn't be happier. Owen, CJ, and Summer are so happy too and love to hold him and watch him. And Summer has decided he eats from my belly button or maybe my muscles - but she is sure he is not allowed to eat crackers anymore.
