We wanted to go camping for President's day...then we decided it would be WAY better if we just got up really early and set up a tent on the beach and hang out for the whole day and head home at dinner time (or when ever the kids ran out of dry clothes). It worked out so great we're going to do it again! The kids had so much fun, and so did mom and dad! The tide started out really high, so we stayed by the tent and ate, and the girls found a little ground hog poking up all over the place and spent a ton of time trying to find him. Owen brought his wetsuit and boogie board and braved the waves(which were fairly big), he did great but after a few rides decided the waves were really big. We also went on a long walk down the beach, and the kids actually walked! They skipped, made tracks and played in little caves along the way. Around 4:30ish CJ and run out of her last pair of dry bottoms and Owen was out of long sleaves - so we took off and grabbed a 5$ pizza for dinner! It was a great day.
