In Escrow!!!

So here's the deal, we had been to TONS of houses and put in offers on more than 5 short sales. When we pulled up to this house, before we even got out of the car I say to Matt "Hey hon, I think this is it, I think this is the one." Turns out it's not a short sale (hurray cause that really means LOOOONG sale), and it's bank owned. Soon as we walk in we smell an overpowering smell of ....Yuck, or death or oh that's right animal pee all over the carpet in the whole house. So despite the thousands of airfreasheners you kinda want to breath through your mouth. And as we walk around and see this totally thrashed house I just keep getting more and more excited and just LOVE the house. Now that we are in escrow and about to be owners of this most fantastic house, we went back to take measurments and are seeing ALL the work that needs to be done - and yes, we are still SUPER EXCITED!!!
Front of the house Weird enclosed patio/part of the house thing. We plan on taking the slider out and really making it really part of the house

The master bathroom in all it's glory!! We're not sure what to do with it yet...the shower and toilet are in the same little room, so the colors really complement eachother. We'll have to wait and see how much money is left after all new floors and windows. Keep in mind we have been at my in-laws for the whole time we have had kids so we have no twin beds or dressers or stuff like that. We can't wait to open and use our wedding presents, see what we boxed up 5 years ago in UT, decorate our own house, and mostly just be in our own space. It's going to be wonderful! So electric blue shower and hot pink walls here I come to love you!

How exciting! We have an offer on a short sale right now...I hate all the waiting that is involved with short sales! Glad you found a house you love! (This is the kind of house we are looking at too!)

When I lived in Hawaii I painted my downstairs bathroom hot pink on 3 walls and neon green on the 4th. This gives me happy memories. LOL
